‘Temae’ For Gallery Nucleus’ Legend of Korra Tribute Exhibition

As many already correctly guessed, this is an illustration of Raava in Wan’s teapot. I got the inspiration for this after seeing cleared and stained specimens. Especially the illuminated ones. I couldn’t help thinking Raava and Vaatu both look like skeletons and what a glowing skeleton inside a clear body made of light would look like. So here it is, a very elaborate tea ceremony.

‘Bjork’ for The New Yorker

I did an illustration for the New Yorker about the new Bjork retrospective going on now at MoMA in New York. She’s known not just for her surreal vocals and wild costumes but world building. So we decided to build this wild atmosphere that is growing out of and passing through her.

Analemma. The sun’s position in the sky, photographed from the same location at the same time of day throughout a year, forms an analemma. This shows the sun’s apparent swinging from its northernmost position, at the analemma’s uppermost point, at summer solstice, to its southernmost position/lowest point, at winter solstice.
